What we cover
What TransferPlanner has on file today: the rules and readings it checks your courses against.
Searchable isn't the same as supported
- You can search every California community college, every public community college in the US, and many universities. A school you can choose isn't one whose rules are on file: the universities below are.
- Not every university or major is covered. The universities below show exactly which of their rules are on file.
2 more
- Outside California there's no ASSIST. Each university checks credit its own way, and the pathway check names it where it's on file.
- Check your pathway to see what we have for your exact college, university and major, before you sign up.
What the labels mean
A pathway check has a row each for admission rules, major preparation, course matches, class sections and what's left to confirm. Each row says one of:
- On file. It's on file for this pathway, from official sources: rules quoted word for word from official pages, or every agreement the pathway needs. The row names the source and when it was checked.
- Some on file. Part of it is on file. The row says what to confirm yourself.
- Decided after admission. The university decides it itself after it admits you, for example when its registrar evaluates your credit. That's how the university works.
- Not applicable. It doesn't apply, for example major preparation at a university that admits transfer students to the university as a whole.
- Check with the school. It isn't on file here. The row says where to confirm it: the school's own pages or office, or ASSIST.
Tools
- Available. The tool works for your college. It's about the tool, not about evidence: whether a rule is official is shown on the rule itself.
- Not available here. The tool doesn't work for your college, for example the CVC Exchange check outside California.
How we decide that a rule comes from an official source is on About.
Tools for enrolling
- CVC Exchange check: Checks whether CVC Exchange may be open to you, from CVC's own published conditions. California community colleges only.
- Winter finder: Finds winter terms at other California community colleges, from the Chancellor's Office list. California community colleges only.
- Registration tracking: Tracks each course's registration route, dates and steps. Any college.
